If you are looking for the perfect little takeaway coffee shop, one with a cosy little nook or two for the days you find you have time to sit, read the paper & ponder life, then look no further, we’ve found it…
Milk and Paper on Scarborough Beach Road.
Milk and Paper is a true refuge, an unexpected doorway into a quaint little ‘French Style’ coffee shop – it’s bright, it’s cosy, the coffee is fantastic, there’s just the right amount of food on offer (we tried the Macadamia Choc Brownies … um heaven) & to top it off the staff are low key & lovely.
Take a peek inside …
Word is that Caroline, the lovely local owner, waited four years to find the perfect venue… and in our
opinion it paid off. Due to the takeaway licence, you’ll have to enjoy your coffee in a takeaway cup (or byo keep cup of course) & the seating is fairly limited. You’ll be amazed though with what Caroline has managed with the space. We had trouble deciding which seating area we preferred! Couch or farmhouse table? Window perch or magazine clad bench seat? Each little area so inviting & so comfy we could have stayed all afternoon.
Decorated with quirky little nic-nacs – a perfect mix of second-hand goodies & quality finds – you’ll instantly feel at home in this wonderfully simple, yet perfect, coffee house.
